Industry Focus - Private Equity

The Venture Capital Trust Fund (VCTF) and three partners (HFC Bank, Ghana Union Assurance and WBD Investments) announced that they had raised USD 10 million in the first closing of the Ebankese Venture Fund, an investment fund designed to spur the growth of the Real Estate sector. The fund is made up of a USD 4 million investment from the VCTF and USD 2 million from each of the other three partners in the project. According to the partners, they hope to raise at least another USD 15 million from private investors within 15 months to bring the total value of the fund to between USD 20-25 million.
