Market Intelligence - Equities

African stock markets closed the week with mixed performance. The stock markets in Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, South Africa and Tunisia recorded gains of up to 1.5%. In contrast, the markets in Egypt, Côte d'Ivoire and Mauritius registered losses of up to 2.7%.

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) Index rose by 1.5% over the week. The gains on the stock market were largely driven by the banking, food and beverage sub-sectors. For this week's Market Intelligence Table, click here.
