Market Intelligence - Currencies

During the week of 7 – 11 December, most African currencies depreciated by up to 3.1% against the US dollar. Eight currencies appreciated by up to 2.7% vis-à-vis the US dollar including the Gambian Dalasi, Ghana’s New Cedi, Malawi’s Kwacha, the Mauritius Rupee, São Tomé and Príncipe’s Dobra, the Seychelles Rupee, Sierra Leone’s Leone and the Somali Shilling.
