African stock markets closed the week with mixed performance. The stock markets in Mauritius, Morocco and Tunisia recorded gains of up to 4.9%. In contrast, the markets in Côte d'Ivoire, Kenya, Egypt, Nigeria and South Africa registered losses of up to 3.4%. It is worth noting that Egypt’s market is still recovering from the major one day loss of almost seven percent (last Monday) after the plunge in Dubai’s market.
