Supporting WTO Negotiations: Looking Beyond Market Access

In a recent article published by VoxEU, AfDB economists Leonce Ndikumana and Tonia Kandiero, argue that the trade collapse hit Africa hard, particularly its natural resources exporters. However, as commodity prices have started to recover, so has African trade. The AfDB economists recommend that concluding the Doha round of WTO negotiations and investing in Aid for Trade initiatives are critical for supporting sustainable development in Africa.
